It all started with a bold request
We started this incredible journey when a major luxury brand entrusted us with a big challenge: use our cutting-edge visual search technology to identify which products their customers were seen using on social media. Other vendors had told them it was impossible, and their parent company had an entire team of PhDs who had been working at this problem for years without a solution in sight.
We not only showed it was possible, but the results were amazing. This groundbreaking success marked an inflection point in our journey.
Despite industry skepticism, our team delivered a working solution in just 90 days - a solution that outperformed the client's internal R&D team that had been working on the problem for over 3 years.
From that initial project, we watched in awe as our data became integral across product R&D, marketing, and retail strategy. The desire and demand for a better way to understand consumers and the products they buy was undeniable.
What began with matching real-world photos to products led us to learn all about the limitations of existing tools and datasets, inspiring us to change the very basis of how insights are done.
And we're just getting started.
Meet the visionaries who turned an impossible challenge into a groundbreaking solution.
When Kris was named University of Ottawa's Innovator of the Year, it turned his lifelong passion for entrepreneurship up to 11. He was the first person to put neural nets on the GPU, he has a knack for winning pitch contests, disagrees with the letter X (sorry Elon), and knows more about beauty and fashion than he probably ought to. He also likes to code.
Enjoys sociology and beating video games at the hardest setting
